Kitchenaid Mixer Bowl Lift
Question about KitchenAid stand mixers.....?
Which is better: tilt-head or lift-bowl? Any clear advantages/disadvantages for either one? Also, any opinions on wattage? Anybody that I have spoken to says that 325 watts is plenty. The Artisan tilt-head model that I am considering has 325 watts while the Professional lift-bowl that I am also considering has 450 watts. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you so much.
Sorry to my contacts or anybody else who sees this question more than once - I wasn't sure which category to post in.
I have a Kitchen-Aid Artisan tilt-head 300 watt model.
The only disadvantage I have had with my Kitchen-Aid Artisan is that sometimes I make small recipes (such as half a batch of cookies) and the bowl is rather too small for those small recipes.
I would recommend the tilt-head model for anyone. It's so nice to turn the mixer on and walk away from it to gather other ingredients. I used to balance my mixer on the edge of my mixing bowl with disastrous results.

Kitchenaid Mixer Wire
i was about to bake some white chocolate cookies and i have no vanilla is that a problem?
here is the recipy
1 cup. shortening
1 cup. brown sugar
1/2 cup. white sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 cup. cake flour
1 bag nestle chocolate chunks
PREHEAT OVEN T0 350 DEGREES.
1- Combine shortening, brown sugar, white sugar, and vailla. Cream at high speed for 2 minutes. * Use Speed 6 for 1 1/2 Minutes on Kitchenaid stand mixers*
2- Add both eggs and beat for 2 minutes. * Speed 6, 1 1/2 Minutes on kitchenaid stand mixers*
3- Add baking soda, Salt , and Cake flour. Stir slowly to avoid flour bomb. Making sure after you stir, you scrape sides of bowl. Then beat for 2 minutes. * Speed 6, 1 1/2 minutes on kitchenaid stand mixers.*
Fold in Chocolate Chunks.
Place cookies by teaspoon onto a cookie sheet lined with SILPAT. Wax paper and Parchment might work the same way. Bake for about 5 minutes then remove, let stand for 5 minutes, then place onto wire rack. Let cool .
Don't worry about it. It won't make a big difference. I usually don't use it in my cookies and no one can tell the difference.

Kitchenaid Mixer Bowl Lift

If you want to have the full range of all the cooking/baking/food prep possibilities, then choose the 450 watts. This will allow you to handle the stiffest bread doughs and cookie batters, grinding large quantities of meat, etc.
This would be the only benefit in choosing the Pro model with extra wattage. Otherwise, the Artisan, with 325 watts, would be more than sufficient for your needs.
Tilt-head or lift-bowl? That's more of a personal decision, rather than a performance one. I prefer tilt-head, as I find it annoying to have to unlock bowls just so I can take a quick look and see what's going on.
The suggestion of buying the Pro just for the sake of having the maximum power is misguided, I think. More is not more if you don't use it; it's just a waste.

Kitchenaid Stand Mixers
KitchenAid stand mixer?
Good morning. How do I change a recipe that has been made in my kitchenaid stand mixer? I try not Tsoureka (Greek Easter bread). Thank you
You should not have to change the recipe anyway. If you have the dough then just put the dough hook attachment and read the instruction manual supplied with the console to tell you how long to knead and how fast.
