Kitchenaid Mixer Attachments Ice Cream

Vanilla Ice Cream Recipes?

no heat recipies would be great

i am using the ice cream maker attachment for the Kitchenaid stand mixer

HOMEMADE VANILLA ICE CREAM

2 qts. half & half
6 eggs
6 c. sugar
1 c. flour
Some vanilla extract
Some milk
Ice cream maker
2 (10 lb.) blocks crushed party ice
1 box rock salt

Mix sugar and flour by hand real good. Put under mixer on medium power. Add eggs. Then slowly pour half of half and half in at a time. Mix about 2 minutes. Add 5 capfuls of vanilla extract or to desired taste. Pour in ice cream freezer and top off with milk. Add lid and churning paddle. Carefully put in ice cream barrel and insert motor, turn on motor and add ice around sides then use rock salt to freeze the ice. NOTE: Read directions of ice cream maker before use.

Kitchenaid Mixer Attachments Grinder

Just bought a Kitchenaid pro 600 mixer, tell me what you know about it and any mixer hints and tips or recipes?

I bought the slicer/shredder attachment, the hard to find 3 qt. bowl with whisk attachment (because a 6 qt. bowl won't be needed every time), it comes with the flat paddle, a dough hook and pouring shield. What do you think of the pasta roller? Should I get the mean grinder and the pasta attachments with that or the pasta roller? I don't need the sausage stuffer, but what other attachments would be handy? Thanks in advance!
Well the meat grinder actually would be used for making baby food, not grinding meat. But I know what you mean.

If you enjoy making homemade pasta then absolutely buy the pasta roller. I have it and use it all the time and it works great. The roller also comes with a spaghetti and fettuccine maker as well. I absolutely love it and highly recommend it. For me personally I wouldn't bother with the meat grinder but if you think you would use it I find all the Kitchen Aid attachments very good.

Do you love your KitchenAid stand mixer?

I baught my stand mixer around October a Classic Series and I love it so far. So Far I use the meat grinder attachment, made some cakes, brownies about 5 or 6 times , mash potatoes, lastly cookies like 2 times. But does anyone own a Classic Series that last them a long time and use it like 3 or more times a month . Thankyou ! No rude negative comments please!

I love my kitchen aid stand mixer, which my father bought my mother back in the late 70s. I used the whip attachment yesterday to make coconut macaroons. I used the dough hook Friday to make Old Fashioned Brown Bread. I used it on Thanksgiving with the paddle to make my mashed potatoes. I used the grinder attachment on Wed. to grind the cranberries and orange for our cranberry salad.

As you can tell, I use mine often! And it will get another workout during Dec. with all the Christmas baking I do! I know I'll be using the shredder attachment next Sunday to make coleslaw also. And this machine is at least 30 years old. I also still have my mother's first KitchenAid - a model 3 from in the 1940s that works fine for cakes and cookies. It just isn't as strong for heavier doughs.

I'm sure you'll enjoy your KitchenAid for years and years!
